“We mounted speakers to standard cages.”

“We positioned colored light sources at all four walls.”

Objective Finding: Overstimulation.

Result: Cognitive deficits are a symptom that prevent the cure.

Conclusion: Too much stimulation makes us risk takers because nothing matters in the overloaded moment.

When the results of the study were released, world governments began to apply the study to their populations through the clever use of subversive consumerism.

We have everything! There’s no need to worry! What reason do you have to be so pessimistic?

We all began reading and writing in bits that seemed more like recordings than lives lived.

When the distortion was final we’d all agreed to be deluded by our own biases.

We will be drawn back to a concern for our natural environment.

What will be left?

Perhaps when the earth is nothing but mountains and a rising sea we will bend to our knees with time for contemplation.
