Is this city new enough to have no memory of its own? Are the buildings new enough that their materials have experienced only fabrication?

If the city has no memory then it will leech its memory from the people.

Will the people create a shared memory? Will they have the same memory? Or will the conflict in the city be the result of our inability to reconcile our separate memories?
